The ShowTime Singers was founded in January of 2003. We are dedicated to staging high quality musical performances for the community at large, enjoying both a cappella and accompanied singing, while specializing in songs that audiences can easily relate to–and perhaps even sing along with–like Broadway tunes, standards, patriotic music, and even a little rock and roll! We are a mixed voice adult choral group–all volunteers–under the direction of Cathy Johnson. Singers hail from all over central Maryland and D.C. Enjoying community performances, encouraging soloists and small group harmonies, learning the vocal “craft,” and having fun doing it are our goals and great joys. We provide vocal education through our rehearsals and workshops. Rehearsals are held in the Ellicott City area, Thursday evenings from September through June. ShowTime Singers is a member of the Howard County Arts Council. We are proud to have been supported by grants from the Howard County Arts Council, The Maryland State Arts Council, and The Columbia Foundation.
