After 57 years of operating out of a 200-year-old mansion, Linwood Center’s new school is under construction. This expansion will allow Linwood to triple its current enrollment of local students with autism and related developmental disabilities. Some students will no longer need to leave the county to attend school in Baltimore County and Baltimore City, at great expense to taxpayers, inconvenience to parents and often distress for students.
Linwood has a great history. Indeed, it has made history, through the achievements of its founder, Jeanne M. Simons, and its visionary practices. And it is ideally located to be the hub of autism services for the region. This would not have been possible without the support of many people, especially our county and state officials and friends like you.
Today, we ask you again to be generous and make a contribution to the capital campaign to complete the new school in time to open for classes in the Fall of 2013. Visit www.linwoodcenter.org, where donations are accepted online. Please share your good fortune with the children of Linwood Center. Thank you again for your support. Happy Thanksgiving!
