A Brief Message From The Executive Director

January 2, 2011

Dear Friends,

In 1955 Jeanne Simons had a vision to create a nurturing environment for children and adults living with autism: a place where their unique gifts and talents were realized. Fifty five years later, Linwood Center is still “creating the possibility of extraordinary lives.” Honoring the spirit of Ms. Simons, we continue to identify the gifts unique to each individual and lay a foundation of support that builds on their strengths and identifies their opportunities regardless of the challenges they may face.

With the diagnosis of autism continuing to grow exponentially, your gift has never been more important. A gift to Linwood ensures that those individuals most severely affected by autism receive every possible opportunity to realize their potential. It is the time of the year when we extend our resources to support causes we believe in – I sincerely hope that Linwood Center will be a consideration as you plan your giving for the New Year. We are building a new school and we need your support. Please click here to read about our new school and learn how you can help.

I thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration and leave you with this profound thought from Winston Churchill, “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”

With Warmest Wishes,

Bill Moss, Executive Director
Linwood Center, Inc.
