Principal Park Sung Bae from the Daniel School in South Korea visited Linwood School with his family last week! First Lady Yumi Hogan and Maryland Department of Disabilities Secretary Carol Beatty joined us for his visit. Mrs. Hogan and Secretary Beatty first introduced us to the Daniel School in early 2017 and have been instrumental in helping us establish our new sister school partnership. During Mr. Park’s visit, we signed the official sister school agreement and showed him our “Hyunsu’s Butterfly” statue, which matches the one at the Daniel School.
To kick off our partnership, several of our classes learned a few Korean words and used those words to create an art project for their new friends in South Korea. They loved meeting Principal Park and presenting their project to him! We were so honored to have Prinicipal Park visit us all the way from South Korea, and we’re excited to keep building our relationship with the Daniel School.
