Charles I. (Chuck) Ecker has joined Linwood Center’s Advisory Board as their Chief Educational Advisor. Linwood Center provides education, vocational training, residential support and employment opportunities for people living with autism and related developmental disabilities. Ecker is the immediate past Superintendent of Carroll County Public Schools, which he served for 10 years.  Ecker was Howard County Executive from 1990-1998.  Prior to his election, he spent 33 years in the Howard County, Prince George’s County and Carroll County Public School Systems.

Among his many volunteer activities, Ecker serves on the Board of Visitors of the University of Maryland Shock Trauma and on the Boards of Directors of the Council on Economic Education in Maryland and makingCHANGE, a financial wellness center.
